With words like “bigot” and racist” being tossed around on the presidential campaign trail and the mainstream media jumping into the fray, it seems that a reminder regarding the difference between someone being a bigot and someone being a racist is in order because the mainstream media and many others don’t seem to know the difference. According to Dictionary.com, Donald Trump is justified in calling Hillary Clinton a bigot; which means “a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.” On the other hand, also according to Dictionary.com, Hillary Clinton is not justified in calling or implying that Donald Trump is a racist; which means “a person who believes in racism, the doctrine that one’s own racial group is superior or that a particular racial group is inferior to the others.”
Based on the above definitions, since Hillary Clinton and the majority of Democrats angrily accuse everyone who wants to apply the rule of law, enforce our borders and protect the American people from terrorists who have sworn to kill us (namely ISIS) and have vowed to infiltrate Syrian refugees coming into our country of being racists, Hillary Clinton and her supporters are bigots. And since Donald Trump’s policies regarding applying the rule of law, enforcing our borders and temporarily banning the influx of Syrian refugees while providing them “safe zones” in Syria and curtailing all immigration into our country from areas known to have problems with terrorism until a much more effective vetting system can be put into place are based on protecting the well-being of ALL Americans of ALL RACES CREEDS and RELIGIONS and NOT based on anyone’s race, creed or religion, Donald Trump and his supporters are not racists.
Sadly, instead of having reasonable discussions and debates about the honest and sincerely held differences of opinion between Democrats and Republicans regarding what we think are the best policies for our country’s future, as the violent, aggressive and rude protestors who have shown up at Donald Trump rallies prove, progressives, liberals and Democrats don’t want to have that debate and would rather frustrate and violate the Constitutional rights of millions of Americans just because they have a different opinion about what’s best for our country. In fact, many progressives, liberals and Democrats have become “militant bigots,” as illustrated by the tone and tenor of political discourse in America and the lengths they will go to in an effort to denigrate and shame anyone who does not share their opinions and ideology, which is the classic definition of a bigot.
Yet, our Constitution was very specifically written to guarantee and protect the rights of ALL Americans to freely and PEACEABLY assemble and to express their opinions even when they’re offensive, distasteful, hateful, racist or otherwise hurtful to others. So despite America’s liberal left’s contrary opinion, The First Amendment of the Constitution guarantees and protects the rights of the SPEAKER and not the rights of the HEARER to never be offended. So perhaps this is also a good time to remind Americans of exactly what the First Amendment to our Constitution says as follows:
First amendment of the Constitution The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.
Fortunately for America and the vast majority of the American people of ALL races, creeds and religions, we “the silent majority” will overcome the tactical machinations and insults of our left leaning counterparts and make our opinions known where it really counts on November 8th, as we unite to defend and uphold the Constitutional rights of ALL Americans of ALL colors, ALL races, ALL beliefs and ALL religions because we believe in the greatness and goodness of America and reject the bigoted politics of division and personal destruction!
